ID226 Advanced Web Scripting

Taught by Holly Silvia, this course builds on our existing knowledge of Javascript. Each week, we will test new scripting applications with example exercises, and then create custom projects to implement the new concepts.

In addition to vanilla Javascript, we're also learning a popular Javascript library called jQuery. It helps to streamline things like things like HTML document traversal/manipulation, event handling, animation, etc. Finally, we will cover Node.js, a runtime environment and library for running web applications outside the client's browser.

Hello! My name is Kelbe Fox, and I am a Front End Web Developer & media specialist. I am completing an Associate's in Web Development, and I built this site from the ground up using HTML, CSS, and of course Javascript.

Having began my Web Dev education during the pandemic, I have as much experience with online-classes as I do with in-person instruction. This process gave me a great balance of professor-lead and self-lead learning. My knowledge base includes HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, UX/UI Design, and multiple forms of content creation with the Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Animate, XD, etc). I am looking forward to graduating this spring and continuing to expand my skillset while entering the workforce.
